My name is Brittany, and I thrive on fresh mountain air, Ben & Jerry’s, and finding beauty in the mundane.

I am just your average girl, trying to survive my twenties (and they have only just begun). Funny how that describes most of us.

I live in little, humdrum Laramie, Wyoming, stop number seven on my journey through life. As a proud USAF daughter, you could say I’ve moved a bit, each home teaching me a lot more about myself and a little more about others.

So far, I’ve gathered that college is not nearly as glamorous as it seems, uncertainty is inevitable, and the world owes us nothing.

On the bright side, I have an inkling that the greatest things in life are those we often overlook. It’s possible that these are the things that matter most.

I don’t have much figured out yet, and that’s the fun in it. Sometimes we just need to stand back and appreciate ourselves and the lives we’ve been given, and the human experience would be incomplete without flyaway strands, unwanted flabs and the occasional day of self-doubt.

Read on, and I’ll reveal the parts of young adult life that don’t suck, and talk about the parts that do. Life is messy and beautiful, and I’m here to write about it.
